just dowloaded LR3 beta into my husband computer, as mine is Mac OS X10.4.11 and, unfortunately, it does not have the requirements to use LR3 Beta. This is sort of a problem, as I can’t really work and play around with the program as much as I would like.
In anycase, I have been using Lightroom 1 for a long time and upgrading it till LR 2 appeared.
I did not want to buy LR2 at that moment as I felt the old version was working fine with my type of work.
But now, I have up to ten thousands pictures into the program and it’s getting to be big and difficult to organize. I have never been happy with the way the noise reduction and the sharpening works in LR, and I still don’t get the way the healing and cloning system works prefering the Photoshop one.
In order to test this LR3 Beta, I imported a series of very underexposed pictures. I have to say that I was very pleased with the results. The noise reduction was very good compare with the LR 1.4 and the sharpening was also quite good.
So far this is what I have done but I feel is already a great plus.
In the next days I will try to get to work some other pictures and will let you know how it goes.
I see that some people have had problems with the program, so far everything is running smoothly for me.
