Please help!!! I am trying to “soften skin” in a portrait.. duplicate background layer, apply Gaussian blur, add mask (command or ctrl click new mask.) Now, paint the blur on and it barley shows! It looks like I have already changed the opacity before I begin to apply my blur to the area I wish to soften. What am I missing? I want to pain the entire area and then take the opacity down to bring through just the right amount of skin texture.. but when I paint the effect is hardly there already… what am I doing wrong??? I attached a screen shot to this message and the right cheek is where I have applied the blur.. and this is again before I have changed any opacity… please help me!
