I am using PSE 8 Help video tutorials to assist in making a Photo Book but would appreciate extra assistance.
I have 2 x PSE 8 catalogs running on two seperate laptops and every photo is captioned. For the final photo book I would like:

My work area to be an external hard drive.

To create a single new catalog on the same external hard drive comprising copies of select albums from the existing two catalogs.

Carry forward each caption on every photo.
I am not technical and do not understand how PSE 8 manages captions. For example are they:

Written onto the image (photo) permanently? or

Held in a linked text file?
If it is 2 above and the external hard drive is to be stand alone do I need to have both image (photo) copies on the external drive ie the original plus original with caption?
Is what I have outlined above technically possible using PSE 8?
It is really a coffee table book that I would like to create and PSE 8’s book making functionality appears to be limited, most obviously in book size. This being the case once I have created a draft of My Photo book what services does Adobe offer to take this to coffee table size presentation?
