I just installed PSE 8 over the weekend and have found so many issues with it I can’t even believe this version made it out of QA and to the shelf.
I have installed additional brushes and now I am unable to perform normal tasks, such as selecting the Brush combo box and use the scroll bar to scroll up or down to select a different brush… as soon as I click on either the scroll arrow (either the up or down arrow) or the bar itself the combo box closes and I have to select the Brush combo box again… I am able to use the arrow keys on the keyboard but COME ON… this is standard application functionality that is not working.
I belong to a PSE forum and it appears that everyone on that forum is having some type of problem with this version so it is not just me and from what I am seeing Adobe is not producing a patch for any of these problems either. If I am mistaken PLEASE…. I BEG you, show me the light.
I have witnessed several bugs over the years from version to version but this is BY FAR the worst release I have seen yet, so much so that I am really considering looking at different products on the market.
I have always told people to pick PSE because in my opinion it was the best on the market, but I WILL not recommend PSE 8 until these issues are resolved… if I were new to software and to PSE I would think I was a blooming idiot trying to figure this stuff out… but knowing how applications should function and having used PSE in the past I know these are plain and simple BUGS!
